Starting in March 2020, we will be offering education classes to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes! These STEM-based education classes will be a 45 minute add-on to a field trip to the Aquarium. We are able to accommodate up to 30 students per education class, with a maximum of 120 students per day. Cost: $13 per person (minimum fee of $200/group). This includes admission to the Aquarium and a 45-minute education class.
Shark Explorers, 6th-8th grade
Students take on the role of a marine biologist as they research sharks! After exploring shark anatomy & biology, threats to shark populations, and shark habitats, students will be asked to think of solutions to help protect endangered shark species. Students will be challenged to think critically about how human actions affect sharks, and how technology can be used to solve or study these problems.
